Before I get back to our regularly scheduled programming I thought I’d share some more pictures from the NW. Hope you enjoy.

Visitors arrive by the busload to visit these lavender farms in Sequim. The town books solid and there are gallons of lavender flavored ice cream, iced tea and even coffee drinks set out on counters everywhere. This small town had a really, really good idea in nurturing their local farms to improve the local economy. On a side note, I could spend all day in this purple field!

What a wonderful idea for the town to become a lavender farm. It sounds heavenly.

I didn’t get a chance to try it, but the lavender honey was really good.

Wow, the fields are so beautiful. I love lavender flowers and lavender products. I’d like to get a taste of the lavender ice cream.

The fields really were incredible. A lot of the farms have a ‘u-pick’ option so they even have built in harvesting. Smart!

Suhweeet! And this post is completely appropriate for me because tomorrow I’m visiting a lavender farm where they are having a lavender festival! I’m totally psyched!

Lovely photos. I love lavender! Reading your post is timely for me…I just went and visited one of the four largest lavender farms in the world and just blogged about it. You’ll have to come visit and see!
